| (木ノ葉隠れの里, no Sato, lit. "Village Hidden In The Leaves"), also known as Konoha, is the hidden village within the Land of Fire and the primary setting of the series. As the hidden village of one of the Five Great Shinobi Nations, the village is led by a Kage, known as the Hokage. The faces of the first five Hokage are engraved on the rock formation overlooking Konohagakure. At the start of the series, the Third Hokage is the leader of the village. He had abdicated his position in favor of Minato Namikaze, who became the Fourth Hokage, but was forced to reclaim his position after Minato died saving the village from the nine-tailed-fox.
| 0 | 0 | | | The outside of the village gates is a massive landscape that can easily be viewed from the top of the village gates. The gates are guarded by Jounin and Chuunin at all times and not only is it almost impossible to sneak up to the village, its impossible to get out without setting off alarm barriers.
| 0 | 0 | | | This temple is home to specially trained monks. One such monk was Chiriku, one of the daimyou's Twelve Guardians. The temple was later destroyed by Akatsuki, it is unclear if it will be rebuilt.

It is said the destruction was so great it tore the earth asunder, creating the very valley. The figure on the Fire Country side is the First Hokage, while the figure on the opposite side is Uchiha Madara.

Inside is a river, the forest, and a tower located in the exact centre; the forest's radius is about ten kilometres. It was a very dangerous place, filled with hordes of flora and fauna; often gigantic, poisonous — or even more likely, both — hence its name.
